Damn, some hard launches, but that thing is a rocket!
I love that straight cut gear whine.

sounds badass, but i dunno, that's a lot of work to get to the same times/traps some people are running with stock cars on a set of DR's, but that's just me though

Badass, technically its a road race transmission, not far drag racing so the times don't really reflect its true potential.

Also, that trans setup is upwards of 25k. But I'd do it if I had the bread.

I can't believe that thing bogs like that with a 7000 rpm launch, I wonder what the rear end gear is in that thing?
Probably is more of a road race set up, but damn for a 25k tranny that thing don't impress me for drag racing.

i know that, but you would think it would do a LITTLE bit better than a bone stock car with full bolt on's and a $25k transmission, be it set up for road racing or not, it still shifts faster than a 6 speed manual

Shifts faster yes, but the clutch that it requires is harder to engage/disengage. In road racing how many times do you fully stop the car, then launch super hard?
Its more about shortening the time the driver's hand is away from the steering wheel, firm shifts without every missing one, and linear gears.

Didn't they also say 3000+ DA? Pretty sure that would effect the times..
