Try sun flower seeds, they keep you busy and taste good to me. Not a bad habit to have.

If you like tuna these are good. Convenient if you have to eat in your car. You can mix it up right in the package itself. Even comes with a breathe mint so you don't have smell like fish after.
Star Kist Lunch To Go Tuna Albacore in Water
$3.39 for one.

A little pricey but you can find them on sale.

The key is small meals.
I'm po-po and work thirds too...2030 to 0630. Do you work out at all? I find that if I work out before shift, I'm all full of piss and vinegar and reado to go. When I sit down to briefing, I drink protein. Forget Muscle Milk, as it's full of fat and other crap...hence why it actually tastes the best according to some. A scoop and a half of BSN Syntha 6...300 calories and 33g of Protein and it tastes great. It's a mix of whey and casein, so there's some slow-burning protein that provides some energy. Usually also wolf down a PBJ on whole wheat and an apple. Hit the street and start grabbing calls. Around 2330, I'll eat another sandwich...usually some turkey and cheddar on wheat again. Just to keep some hunger pangs down. Around 2, I'll eat the main meal. That can range from anything to a tupperware of chili, grilled pork loin or something else. Preferably something I can eat cold if need be in case I can't get to a microwave at HQ or a substation somewhere. Then comes 4am and on, where I snack on either a yogurt, more fruit, single serving applesauce, etc.
Also, eating healthy can get old after a while...make sure you have a cheat day. Once a week, me and some other guys from shift will go to an all night diner or truckstop. Like you, we get cheap food too. Usually steak and eggs, omelette, or something. Can't beat fresh cooking sometimes, and it's like a reward for staying straight and eating healthy during the workweek, when it is really f'ing tough.

i usually never workout before i go into work. i get done work and am up all day and dont go to bed till around 6ish and get up at 1130 so i dont have time to workout. maybe i can change the schedule around a little to sneak it a power workout.
you eat a s*** load at work man! I usually snack on little things throughout the night. I think i may start doing the pb sandwhiches, tuna sandwhiches, carrots, celery, sunflower seeds and bring in something for around 4-5 oclock when i start gettin hungry again.
thanks for your ideas. i may be goin to gnc to pick up some of that protein tonight.
