OK working on a 1974 Ford Capri with my friends and we have a come to the point to choose paint colors. a good friend that is helping with the car i painting it for free.. and are getting the paint for free! the downside is we have a limited color pallet. What would you choose? I'm personally leaning towards the green but the painter wants the orange/yellow color because it will be easier to work with.

Yellowish orange and silver?

or..

the Green metallic Tri-tone

This is going on a 1974 Ford Capri.. Odd car and this one has flares and both front and rear spoilers Here is a pic of the car in one piece to give an idea of the flares and spoilers..

Also how would you paint it? stripes? 2 tone? fade? anyone have examples? what would your dream paint job on an MK1 capri be? We just are not sure what to do!

Yellow/Orange and Silver for me. It should turn out pretty well either way.

Another vote for the Green Tri-Tone from me. I'm a big fan of a more subdued color though, and I plan for my next car to be a shade of green similar to that one.

Looks to be an awesome project car though!

Thanks guys! We are most likely going with the Green or the car.

Car has a LOT of rot on it that was improperly "fixed" so its been a lot of cutting and welding. There are pics of the progress here..
